Today on an errand to pick up some more photo paper I met a British man looking over the film development chemicals. I asked if he was just getting into home film development- to which he replied with a question of his own, “You’re the Tokyo Camera Style guy, right?” Apparently he had read about my film development methods and he was indeed interested in developing his own black and white film. If you haven’t ever souped your own film this is as good of a time as any to start. Yodobashi Camera (in Shinjuku and Akihabara) have lots of information on display to help first timers know what to buy. The internet is fantastic in figuring out the nuts and bolts (or for ordering chemistry if you are not in Japan) as well.
